The Crimestoppers Organization drew for the winners of the 50/50 annual fundraiser. There were two lucky winners, Brandon Park and Tracy Smith each winning $500.
Council member Lynch thanked City Engineer, Dean Barker for helping one of the local contractors. Council member Welling commented that the Cowboy Day’s weekend was a success. He mentioned that there were big crowds at the Rodeos and thanked all the volunteers for making that happen. Council member Sellers commented that the Labor Day Parade was well attended, as well as the Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast. He reminded everyone that the Suicide Hotline number is now 988. Mayor Williams echoed the comments about the Labor Day weekend. He also remarked about the large United States flag on the side of the Wells Fargo Building and what an amazing sight it was.
Public Hearing/Liquor License Renewals
A public hearing was conducted by City Attorney, Dennis Boal for all the applicants that filed for the renewal of their liquor licenses within the City of Evanston. Mr. Boal stated that all the applications have been reviewed by the City Clerk and the Wyoming Liquor Division. Notice for the hearing has been advertised for two consecutive weeks in the local newspaper. Mr. Boal asked if there was any opposition or comments regarding any of the liquor license renewals. There being no comments, Mr. Boal closed the hearing.

The general description of the proposed work is to rehabilitate and improve the Evanston City Ditch, located in Uinta County, Wyoming. For over 100 years, the landowners in the proposed district have owned, maintained and operated this water delivery system. The Ditch has serious seepage and other problems necessitating their rehabilitation and improvement. Formation of the district is required to obtain necessary government funding to assist in the project.
